National Exhibition of Inventions to be held in Foshan in November

On August 18th, the news conference of the 24th National Exhibition of Inventions · Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition was held in Beijing, which released that the 24th National Exhibition of Inventions will be held in Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center in Foshan from November 19th to 21st.

The exhibition, with the theme of “invention and innovation, mutual benefits”, fully presented the achievements of high-level inventions in various fields, the mass inventions close to daily life, and some excellent inventions of teenagers full of imagination and sense of the future, and promoted the transformation and industrialization of innovative inventions with the help of financial capital and new business models.

Yu Huarong, Secretary of the CPC Committee, Executive Vice President, and General Secretary of China Association of Inventions, expected to inject new motivations into Foshan’s innovative development to form new momentum by holding the National Exhibition of Inventions.

Cai Jiahua, Foshan’s deputy mayor and member of the CPC Foshan Municipal Committee, said that Foshan has firmly followed the innovative development path of “global science and technology + Foshan intelligent manufacturing + global market” in recent years.

The holding of the National Exhibition of Inventions will not only introduce domestic and international high-end innovation resources into Foshan, but also plug in the wings of “invention and innovation” for the transformation and upgrading of Foshan industries. In 2020, Foshan will continue to improve the on-site display effects of the exhibition, increase the proportion of physical exhibitions to attract more enterprises to interact and do business on the basis of epidemic prevention and control.

The exhibition this year will set various areas such as “national defense intellectual property rights”, “high-end equipment manufacturing”, “intelligent home furnishing”, and “Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area”, and specially present the poverty relief achievements promoted by science and technology, and technological achievements of Chinese intangible cultural products. During the exhibition, activities such as the Foshan Future Skill International Challenge of 2020 Belt & Road and BRICS Skills Development & Technology Innovation Competition, and the first “I am an inventor” innovation competition will be held to select outstanding inventions.
